The project “Protection of personal data and the media” started on December 12, 2016. The project is financed by the IPA TAIB 2012 program.
The project will contribute to a more effective implementation of the right to privacy and protection of personal data, taking into account the right to freedom of expression and information. The project should help to understand and improve personal data protection standards as well as create a tool for media compliance with personal data protection principles.
The project will be implemented through the following components:
Component 1: Assessment of compliance with the principles of personal data protection by the media; and
Component 2: Improving standards and ethical rules for the protection of personal data by the media.
Duration: December 12, 2016 – August 12, 2017
Budget : 57,300 euros
