Dear citizens,

Regarding your requests submitted to the Personal Data Protection Agency for misuse of personal data on social networks (Facebook, Instagram), we inform you that we have received a response from the operational team of Facebook, that due to COVID-19 they have a stoppage in their actions so that priority will have reports related to the risk of threatening or physical violence, elections, as well as reports related to COVID-19.

For those reasons, the Agency for the Protection of Personal Data is not able to respond to your requests and they will be acted upon when conditions are created for it.

In order to protect your personal data on social networks, we recommend that you check the settings for protecting privacy and personal data on the social networks you use, create complex passwords that you will occasionally change and do not disclose them to other people.
