Technical support in the establishment of the Directorate for the Protection of Personal Data and implementation of the principles of data protection in the Republic of Macedonia”
The project “Technical support in the establishment of the Directorate for the protection of personal data and implementation of the principles of data protection in the Republic of Macedonia”, financed by the European Union and managed by the European Agency for Reconstruction, took place in the period from May 2006 to November 30 2007.
The project referred to the comprehensive regulation of personal data protection and the development of the Directorate for Personal Data Protection, and its realization was realized through five basic components, namely:
- Legal support – analysis of legal regulations for the protection of personal data
- Improvement of procedures – creation, development and improvement of standardized procedures for performing the basic competencies of the Directorate for Personal Data Protection
- Building capacities – building and strengthening the capacities of the Directorate for Personal Data Protection through organized trainings in relation to various issues in the field of personal data protection
- Raising public awareness – organizing and implementing activities and initiatives to increase awareness among the general public
