The Agency for the Protection of Personal Data with the support of the EU twinning project “Support in the implementation of the modernized legal framework for the protection of personal data”, on July 27 and 28, 2022, organized the tenth training session on personal data protection on the topic “Introduction to personal data protection” and “Legal processing of the citizen’s identification number and use for specific purposes”.
On the first day of the training, the novelties of ZZLP definitions, principles for the protection of personal data, measures for the protection of personal data, rights of the subject of personal data, other obligations of controllers and processors were clarified.
On the second day of the training, the legal basis for processing the citizen’s identity number, the identification number in the EU and beyond, EMBG in RS Macedonia, case law in the European Court of Human Rights and the European Court of Justice, obligations of the controllers and the legislator were covered.
