Realized study visit to the Republic of Poland

Within the framework of the EU project “Support in the implementation of the modernized legal framework for the protection of personal data” in the period from October 10-14, 2022, a study visit to the Office for the Protection of Personal Data in Warsaw, Republic of Poland is being carried out. The purpose of the study visit was to share experiences and good practices regarding the implementation of the novelties of the General Regulation for the Protection of Personal Data.

During the five-day series of meetings, best practices, experiences and challenges were presented and shared on the following topics: procedure for conducting supervision, handling of security breach notifications, investigation and initiation of criminal proceedings and assessment and imposition of criminal sanctions , the way in which cross-border cooperation takes place in relation to specific subjects, experiences in relation to officers for the protection of personal data, giving legal opinions according to laws and on issues from certain areas of the public and private sectors, transfer of personal data and the obligations of the department for international cooperation, the realized projects and plans for the future from the aspect of education.
