On February 18, 2022, the Agency for the Protection of Personal Data through the ZOOM platform conducted “Special training for the protection of personal data”, intended for representatives of the Macedonian Association of Journalists (MAN).

During the training, the novelties of the Personal Data Protection Law, the principles, rights and obligations of the controllers and all the obligations that need to be fulfilled for the controllers to harmonize their work with the personal data protection regulations were elaborated.

At the same time, the training emphasized the balancing process in the processing of personal data and the freedom of expression and information, as well as the exceptions in relation to the processing carried out for journalistic purposes.

The training was conducted online due to the situation with the Covid 19 virus, and all in order to protect the health of the training participants.
