The Directorate for the Protection of Personal Data, EVN Macedonia, Heat Supply Balkan Energy DOOEL – Skopje, JP Vodovod and Sewerage – Skopje and JRP Macedonian Radio Television started with the implementation of a joint project WITH TRUST IN A BETTER SERVICE whose activities are aimed at updating the collections of the personal data of citizens, users of the services as well as their obligations to provide personal data in the context of the exceptions from the application of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data.

The companies that provide the public services are responsible for the processing of the personal data of the users and for the terms of their storage, but the users also have the obligation to provide accurate and complete data, but also to be informed about what are the other obligations according to the laws and agreements that they conclude them.

Users’ personal data should be processed fairly and in accordance with the law and be adequate, relevant and not excessive in relation to the purposes for which they are collected and processed. In order to fully comply with this principle, the updating of personal data will be done by filling in a form that will be delivered to the citizens together with the following bills, and which the citizens will be able to leave in the marked boxes at one of the payment points of EVN Macedonia. Heat supply Balkan Energy Group DOOEL – Skopje or JP Vodovod and Sewerage Skopje.

Through the realization of this project, the Directorate for the Protection of Personal Data, EVN Macedonia, Supply of Heat Balkan Energy DOOEL – Skopje, JP Vodovod and Sewerage – Skopje and JRP Macedonian Radio Television highlight their joint commitment to achieve uniform protection of citizens’ personal data through fair processing and updating of personal data by public service providers throughout the territory of the Republic of Macedonia and further development and raising the level of cooperation in the future, better protection of citizens as well as raising the social responsibility of public service providers towards citizens and the community.
