
The Agency for the Protection of Personal Data with the support of the EU twinning project “Support in the implementation of the modernized legal framework for the protection of personal data”, on July 20 and 21, 2022, organized the ninth training session on personal data protection on the topic “Personal data protection officer” and “Video surveillance”.
On the first day of the training, the obligations of controllers and processors to determine a personal data protection officer (DPO), position of the DPO and tasks performed by the DPO were covered. On the second day of the training, video surveillance was clarified, the exceptions for performing video surveillance due to activities in the home, the purpose of setting up video surveillance, assessment of the necessity and proportionality of setting up video surveillance, notification for performing video surveillance, technical and organizational measures , term of storage of the recordings, engagement of a processor, periodic assessment of the installed video surveillance, users of personal data from the video surveillance and video surveillance at the workplace.
