Within the framework of the EU project “Support in the implementation of the modernized legal framework for the protection of personal data” a study visit was organized at the Agency for the Protection of Personal Data in Zagreb, Republic of Croatia. The study visit took place in the period from June 6-10, 2022. The purpose of the study visit was to share experiences and good practices regarding the implementation of the novelties of the General Regulation for the Protection of Personal Data.
During the study visit, the best practices, experiences and challenges were presented and shared on the following topics: procedure for supervision, investigation and initiation of criminal proceedings and assessment and imposition of criminal sanctions, giving legal opinions according to laws and on issues of certain public and private sector areas, transfer of personal data and cooperation between supervisory bodies.
